READING FOUNDATIONS CAMP

Reading Foundations focuses on helping parents and caregivers
understand the important phonemic skills that help support
beginning readers and writers. Phonemic skills are based on
hearing and manipulating sounds in words. When these skills are
Explicitly taught, learners are better prepared for practicing
beginning reading and writing.
Phonemic or phonological skills include: rhyming,
segmenting and blending individual sounds, hearing
syllables in words and substituting sounds in words.
Entering 1st grade: June 21-25, 12:30-2:30pm
Entering kindergarten: July 19-23, 12:30-2:30pm

HANDWRITING FOUNDATIONS CAMP
children entering kindergarten or 1st grade
Your child can receive upbeat instruction from a
trained educator in this developmentally appropriate
multi-sensory handwriting method.
Entering 1st grade: June 21-25, 10am-12pm
Entering kindergarten: July 19-23, 10-12pm
Tuition $200
